COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A total of 28 San Diego State student-athletes from four different sports have been named to the Mountain West Conference all-academic team for the 2009 fall semester, the league office announced Thursday.


The Aztec football team had the largest amount of SDSU honorees with 11 selections, highlighted by
Jon Toledo (Encinitas, Calif.), who earned a 3.90 grade point average in homeland security during the fall semester. The highest gpa among the 28 student-athletes honored was a 4.00 in social science by cross country's Josefine Koskinen.

In addition, the women's cross country squad had eight of its runners honored, while volleyball had five selections, followed by the women's soccer team with four.

To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at their school while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor to their team.

Jo visade mig sidan idag för jag hade ingen aning om vad hon pratade om.. Haha :) Nice att vinna över alla andra athletes ;) Tänka sig att lilla jag hade bästa gpa av alla andra, känns konstigt och overkligt! Men here I am, förra terminens bästa plugghäst :)
